NSJCA U15 Presidents Cup Champions for 2017/18 with coach David O'Kane and manager Craig Donaldson

Congratulations to our NSJCA U15 PC side, who defeated Blacktown by 61 runs in their Grand Final on Sunday at Balmoral Oval to win the U15 Presidents Cup for 2017/18.

This completes a hat-trick of wins for this age group, who have now been President's Cup Champions for 3 successive seasons starting with the U13in 2015/16, U14 in 2016/17 and now U15s.

North Shore start slowly being only 32 runs when the 3rd wicket fell.  Consolidation was needed when patient and mature batting by Harrison Clubb (50) and Avinash Mirando (37) steadied the innings.  This set the platform for a late flourish which included Adi Srivatsan taking 21 vital runs off 28 balls.  This enabled North Shore to post a very competitive target of 177.

With the ball North Shore maintained control over the game by taking wickets regularly throughout the Blacktown innings.  The scoreboard pressure mounted and despite some enterprising innings the opposition were never really in a position to challenge the game. All of of the bowlers kept a tight reign over the runs with opening bowler Nathan Hukins finishing with 3/18 off 10 overs, and Jack Matthews with 3/26 off 10 overs.

Congratulations go to all our PC teams who represented the North Shore in this inter-association competition with many team and individual achievements and victories.
