NSJCA players representing NSW have stood out in the recent Australian School Boy Championships.
In January Mathew Sidhu performed very well as captain of the NSW PSSA team (12 years and under) competing in the Australian School boys championship.
With the ball, Matthew contributed 9 wickets at 10.22 with best figures of 4 for 18.
Under Mathew’s leadership the NSW team finished second behind a strong SA team.
In February at the Under 15 National Championships Mitchell Crayn and Flynn Farquharson represented the NSW Magenta side.
Having progressed to the Final, they lost to a very strong Victoria Metro side by 5 runs. In that final Mitchell top scored for NSW with 39 and Flynn took the bowling honours with 3 for 23 off 10 overs.
Over the course of the week long carnival Mitchell captained the side and opened the batting. He scored 143 runs at an average of 24.
Flynn batted at four, scoring 81 runs and finished third on the overall bowling statistics taking 12 wickets at 17.50 with his off spin.
Congratulations and well done to Mathew, Mitchell and Flynn for doing NSW and the NSJCA proud.
