The U12 team representing the NSJCA at the Lismore Carnival had a very success week but more importantly the wider group of parents and players had a great time at this event which was very well run by Berni and Barry Cooper. And on behalf of all of the attendees we thank them for the great work that they do to make this opportunity available for the players involved. As a brief run down on the carnival the team played four 25 over games and two 45 overs games and posted wins in all six matches. In the Semi Final NSJCA was matched against Manly and a tight tussle was expected again. The match did not disappoint with Manly setting a target of 157 which was successfully chased down with only a couple of overs to spare. The Grand Final opponents were Parramatta and with the task of setting a target in this match the NSJCA side produced the most impressive game played by this team to date. Four batsmen retired on 50 as the team set a daunting 3 for 302 off 43 overs. A carnival record. in reply to such a formidable total Parramatta were dismissed for 67. There but there were several outstanding individual performances in each of the disciplines. Alex Lee-Young took out the wicket keepers award with 13 stumping’s and 2 catches.
Zack Winslow with 15 wickets was a close 2nd for most wickets.
Will Adlam took out the batting average for the carnival with 171 being dismissed only once. Congratulation on a great way to finish the Representative season for both the boys and the parent group.
